In terms of size, polar bears are the largest predatory animals on earth. In the winter, they are protected from the cold by thick, snow-white fur and a thick layer of fat. A bear twice the size of a Siberian tiger weighs more than 500 kilos and measures almost 3 meters in length. 

As a result of its highly sensitive sense of smell, the polar bear is excellent at finding food. A one and a half kilometer away smell can be detected or one metre under snow is detected by them!
